On day 1 of the project we'll tear out and haul away the old fence. We start by cutting the panels in half to make it easier to dispose. We then cut each post at ground level and break up any concrete which may be visible from the old fence. Depending on the circumstances of the job, sometimes we have to pull the post out of the ground with the concrete, this is common on corner post or post which may be set next to the house. Some may think it would be easier to pull out the old post and use the same holes. Typically pulling out the old post with the old concrete takes alot more time. Also, this would require twice as much concrete to use the same hole. Our rule of thumb is to avoid pulling post unless it's necessary to ensure the job is done correctly.
