How much wood do I need?
Texas winters are short. Most of our customers burn for ambiance on cool nights, not to heat the house.
Inside fireplace
A few fires a season: a face cord. Fires most weekends: a pickup load or half cord. Tell us your fireplace opening width and we’ll pick evenly cut pieces.Outdoor fire pit
One get-together: a few pieces, picked up at the yard. Regular backyard fires: a pickup load. Mixed lengths are fine outside.BBQ or smoker
Weekend cooks: a face cord or pickup load, split down to fire-box size. Tell us what you cook on and we’ll cut to fit.How ordering works
Seasoned oak, split and ready to burn
Oak is all we sell, and that’s on purpose. Texas oak is dense, so it burns hotter and longer than pine or softer woods, throws very little spark and leaves a clean coal bed. One wood for the fireplace, fire pit, wood stove and BBQ pit.
Every load is split and seasoned in our Dayton yard before it goes out, so it catches easily and burns steady instead of hissing and smoking.

BBQ smoking wood for Houston pitmasters
Running an offset, a pellet rig or a backyard pit? Oak is the backbone of Texas barbecue: steady, clean heat and a mild smoke that won’t bully a brisket.
Get it by the pickup load or face cord, split down to fire-box size. Tell us what you’re cooking on and we’ll cut to fit. We deliver BBQ wood across Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Porter, Crosby, Huffman and the greater Houston area.

What our customers say
Keep your wood dry in our humidity
Houston-area moisture and termites are hard on a woodpile. A few simple habits keep it burning clean.
- Keep it off the ground on a rack, pallets or blocks.
- Don’t stack it against your house. Leave a gap from the wall for airflow and to keep termites away.
- Cover the top, but leave the sides open so it can breathe.
- Bring in only a few days’ worth at a time.
Firewood delivery FAQ
Do you deliver firewood to Kingwood, TX?
It depends on your exact location. Start your order online and you’ll see your delivery options, or call or text 832-930-9123. We confirm your delivery fee when we confirm your order, before anything is invoiced.
How much is a full cord of firewood in Houston?
A full cord is $575, roughly 600–700 split pieces. A half cord is $300, a pickup load is $200 and a face cord is $160.
What kind of firewood do you deliver?
Seasoned oak, and only oak. Mostly red oak, plus the other oaks that grow around Dayton and Liberty County. It burns hotter and longer than softer woods, throws very little spark, and works as well in a fireplace as in a BBQ pit.
How long are the pieces?
Most pieces run 16–18 inches. For fireplace orders we pick evenly cut pieces. Tell us your fireplace opening width when you order.
Do you sell BBQ smoking wood in Houston?
Yes. The same seasoned oak, split down to fire-box size for offset smokers, pellet rigs and backyard pits. Tell us what you’re cooking on and we’ll cut to fit.
Is your firewood seasoned or green?
Seasoned and ready to burn. We split it and let it dry in the yard before it goes out, so it catches easily instead of smoldering.
What is the difference between a face cord and a full cord?
A full cord is 128 cubic feet of stacked wood (4 × 4 × 8 ft). A face cord is a single row off the front of that stack, which is why it costs less.
Can I pick up at your yard?
Yes, by appointment only at our Dayton, TX yard. Order online or call ahead, pick a time window, and wait for our OK. We’ll have it ready. Small amounts are $1.25 a piece (10-piece minimum) and are pickup only.
How should I store firewood in Houston’s humidity?
Keep it off the ground, away from your house wall, with the top covered and the sides open. Bring in a few days’ worth at a time.
Do you stack the wood?
Yes. Stacking is free within 10 yards of where our truck parks. If it has to be carried farther, we’ll quote the extra before delivery.
